Bring and Take
"Bring" is normally a request to
another person to transport an object,
which may currently be located anywhere else, to where
"I" am now.
"I" can never "bring", "I" always "take".
Amendment courtesy of dxm.
"I" can "bring" an object (which currently
may be located anywhere
except where I am right now) to where you are now, eg I say to
you
over the phone "I will bring a loaf of bread home with me
tonight".
"You" can sometimes "bring"
it, but only to where I am right now,
otherwise "you" would "take" it to some other
place.
